Concert-goers packed the Grove for an afternoon of Algerian-influenced music. Los Angles-based MC Rai led the afternoon with a trend-setting mix of edgy Arabic grooves and electronica, accompanied at one point by a mesmerizing belly dancer.

French-Algerian artist Rachid Taha closed the afternoon with a powerful and energetic set of raw, and edgy punk-rock music. With a rough vocal style and powerful performance, Taha had concert-goers on their feet for the entire show and singing along to “Rock El Casbah.”
