What is podcasting?

Podcasting is a web-based method of making audio and video files available to download to a computer or mobile device via an automatic feed. You can subscribe to a podcast and episodes will automatically be delivered to your computer.

How do I subscribe to the podcasts?

To subscribe to a podcast, click on the Subscribe button on the Festival's website to link to www.sterngrove.org/podcast or highlight this URL (http://www.sterngrove.org/podcast), and then copy and paste the URL into your podcasting software. In iTunes you can find this option under the "Advanced" menu as "Subscribe to Podcast."

How do I listen to or view a podcast?

To view or listen to a podcast, you need to have podcast subscription software installed on your computer. There are many different types of software available for free download, including iTunes or other services such as Odeo or iPodder.

Do I need an iPod or other MP3 player to play podcasts?

You don’t need an iPod of MP3 player to view or listen to podcasts. You can play podcasts in your podcast subscription software on your computer. But if you want to make your podcasts portable, you will need to transfer them from your computer to a portable media device.

Do I have to pay to use Stern Grove Festival’s podcasts?

Stern Grove Festival’s podcasts are all completely free to use, but they are costly for the organization to produce. If you’d like to make a donation to support these podcasts and the Festival, please click here .
