If my entry is selected, how many seats will I be given?

You can receive six seats at a picnic table. The tables are designed to seat 12 people. You will share the picnic table with another party of six people.

How many concerts can I get seats for?

To ensure that more people have a chance to enjoy the picnic table seats, you will only receive seats at ONE concert per season. If your name is selected for a concert, you are not eligible to receive seats at any other concert during the season.

If I receive seats this season, can I enter to receive seats next year?

Yes. Everyone is eligible to receive six seats each season, even if you were selected in the past.

I used to call the Recreation and Park Department to receive seating at a picnic table. Can I still get seating that way?

No. This system replaces the old call-in system used by the Recreation and Parks Department. These picnic table seats are still being made available to the public, just with a new process that makes it easier to process and select entries (and, with the new system, you won’t get a busy signal!).

What if you draw my name and I am unable to attend that concert?

Your name can only be chosen once per season, whether you decide to use the seats or not. DO NOT sign up for concerts you do not want to or are unable to attend. If you cannot use the seats, you forfeit the opportunity to receive seating for the rest of the season.

What time should I arrive at Stern Grove to claim my seating?

We suggest you arrive well in advance of the 2 p.m. performance start time to claim your seats. However, these seats are reserved for you for the entire day.

How do I claim my seats?

If your entry is chosen, Festival staff will contact you by email or phone and provide you with detailed instructions for claiming you picnic table seats.
