For over a decade, Bayonics have been performing their unique blend of hip-hop, reggae, Latin, and funk music, delivering fresh tunes and energetic shows. The dynamic 11-piece band mirrors the diversity of Bay Area culture, blending a mix of musical styles, lyrics, and artists to create a sound as unique as the city they call home. As the SF Bay Guardian once wrote, “If San Francisco was one big dance floor, Bayonics would be its house band.”
Bayonics is led by vocalist Jairo Vargas (aka Rojai), merging a mix of sounds to produce raw, soulful tunes. The band has played packed houses worldwide and they’ve shared the stage with Wu-Tang Clan, Mos Def, Common, Ozomatli, and many more.
In May of 2013, Bayonics released their highly anticipated album, City Roots, a mix of both English and Spanish lyrics and varied beats.
As part of the 79th Season's Local Artist Commission Series, titled "Interplay: In Concert with Nature", Bayonics will perform a brand new piece on the Stern Grove stage.
