Blame Sally Blending the distinct sounds of folk, country, and rock, Blame Sally’s female quartet combines intelligent lyrics with a vast array of instrumentation to create songs that are both memorable and powerful. The San Francisco based band is comprised of Pam Delgado, Renee Harcourt, Jeri Jones, and Monica Pasqual, representing a cross-section of musical talent on the mandoline, banjo, harmonica, melodica, accordion, guitar, piano, and percussion. A super-group of singer-songwriters, each member of Blame Sally has lent their unique perspectives and experiences to their impressive catalog, including three albums, with a fourth released spring 2009. Blame Sally’s politically and emotionally charged anthems have gained reputation worldwide, earning the group spots opening for Roseanne Cash at the Strawberry Music Festival and for Ani Difranco at the California Worldfest. Their video for hit single “If You Tell a Lie” maintained the honor of second most downloads on Neil Young’s website Living With War for four months in 2006. 2007 saw the quartet’s third album, Severland, claim the top spot on Satellite Radio’s “Starbuck’s XM Café,” winning over millions of new fans. Blame Sally peformed songs from their recently released fourth album, Night of 1000 Stars, for the Stern Grove audience July 12, leaving a lasting impression with Bay Area fans.
