Michael Mohammed studied classical ballet at Dance Theater of Harlem and Evansville Dance Theater, and modern techniques at Alvin Ailey School, Barnard College, and Joan Peters Dance Company. He has created original works for New York’s Orchesis Dance Group and Children's Center for Dance Education in Indiana, and his choreography has been featured in productions by Peninsula Teen Opera, Bay Area Summer Opera Theatre Institute, Ragazzi Boy's Chorus, and Pocket Opera. He holds a M.M. in vocal performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a B.A. in music and history/sociology from Columbia University.
