For the 77th season in a row, San Francisco Symphony returned to Stern Grove Festival with conductor Edwin Outwater performing a selection of works from American composers Bernstein, Mancini, Gould, Scott, and Hanson, and Ravel’s Pavane pour une infant défunte and Boléro with jazz improvisations.

A pre-performance Artist Talk at the Troc took place at noon in the Trocadero Clubhouse. Richard Lonsdorf, the Artistic Administrator at SF Symphony moderated the talk with conductor Edwin Outwater.

The performance was presented with support from Sakurako and William Fisher and Sandi and John Thompson and is dedicated to the memory of Elise S. Haas, Festival Chair from 1956 to 1968.
