Grammy nominated and world renowned as Les Nubians, this sister act’s powerful prose and soulful vocals provided for an unforgettable performance.

Rupa Mayra, front woman of Bay Area favorite Rupa and the April Fishes, brought her brand of lyrical storytelling set to the flair of French cabaret and the passion of Argentinean tango to the Grove, opening for Les Nubians.  Mayra's inspiration for the band's universal perspective stems from her dual life, split between lighting up the stage and practicing medicine in a San Francisco operating room.
