More than 800 volunteers help make the Festival possible each year.
Who can volunteer?
Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Individuals, families, and groups are all part of the Festival's volunteer team.
Can groups volunteer?
Volunteer groups of ten or more people are welcome. Corporate volunteer teams offer a great team-building opportunity.

Can volunteers receive school credit?
Students looking for Community Service Hours are encouraged to volunteer and discuss the requirements with the volunteer coordinator.

Stern Grove Festival offers other volunteer opportunities in our office and at the Grove during the off-season:

- Park beautification at Stern Grove
With personal gifts of $1,000 or more, Founder's Council donors provide major support to the Festival's mission of presenting the highest quality, admission-free performances to Bay Area residents.
In honor of their commitment, Founder's Council donors receive the following benefits:
- One reserved picnic table (10 seats) at one concert for every $1,000 donated and complimentary beverages*
- For example, a donation of $3,000 entitles you to three tables at one concert, or one table at three concerts.
- Reserved parking for up to three vehicles when using your table.*
- Invitation to an Artist Reception.
- Invitation to a pre-concert Member Social.
- Opportunity to arrange a backstage tour for you and your guests at one concert.*
- Acknowledgement in donor listing for one year.

Stern Grove Festival's Legacy Gifts Program was created to recognize those individuals who add to their personal legacies by making an investment in the future of Stern Grove Festival through their estate plans.
These gifts come in all sizes and include gifts from wills and living trusts, gifts that return lifetime income, beneficiary designations in retirement plan accounts and life insurance policies, and other planned gifts.
