85TH SEASON IN REVIEW

(L-R): SGF Executive Director Bob Fiedler, SGF Board Chair Matthew Goldman, Mayor London Breed, And Phil Ginsberg (Rec and Park) on Opening Day, 2022

We were so grateful and proud to return in 2022, after our final show of 2021 was canceled due to a water main rupture that flooded the park on August 23, 2021. We were able to bring back our original line-up of Tower of Power and Too $hort to kick off our 85th season! In addition to the live concerts, we live streamed 8 of our shows to a global audience of more than 7,900 views in more than 90 different countries.

Our big screen in the West Meadow was a hit, and helped us increase attendance to just over 72,000 this season. Through a partnership with Mixhalo, we offered a direct audio feed from the mixing board through their free app, providing crystal-clear sound no matter where you are in the venue.

THANK YOU!

Thank you to all the attendees, donors, sponsors, vendors, partners, and supporters who helped us achieve our mission to make live musical experiences accessible to all. We are grateful for your support and participation.

And a special shout-out to the entire crew and staff, who worked so hard to make this season come to life. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year!
